NO TEXTING WHILE DRIVING LAW PASSED IN ILLINOIS

State law enforcements are beginning to see the dangers of cell phone use
and texting while on the road. Many states are actually passing laws to make texting
while driving illegal. Just recently, Illinois law enforcements passed a new law, stating that it was
indeed illegal to text while driving. Governor Pat Quin signed the new bill on August 6, 2009 with
Jesse White, Illinois's Secretary State. Those who are caught texting will be pulled over,
given a ticket, and must pay the seventy five dollar ticket fine. Although it will be illegal to
text while driving, drivers will still be able to read their directions on their navigational system.
